The Spy Next Door Review by Me…!!

Action + Family + Funny = The Spy next Door, that what can i said to Jackie Chan‘s new action movie.  I watched this movie with my 2 best friend in local cinema.

The Spy Next Door

This movie is about:

Chan is in full-on clown mode as Chinese Intelligence agent Bob Ho, a spy next door to Amber Valleta’s Gillian, who he’s also dating, and her three children, teen Farren (Madeline Carroll), precocious Ian (Will Shadley), and toddler Nora (Alina Foley).  As the film opens, Ho is retiring from the spy biz and wants to take his relationship with Gillian to the next level by coming clean to her about his secret double-life. Gillian isn’t even ready to listen to Bob until her, frankly, hateful children warm up to him. At this point we got a convenient plot contrivance that sends Gilian out of town to her ailing father’s side, allowing Bob to watch the children for an extended period of time with the hope that they’ll all bond as a family.

Personally, i think this is maybe the best ever movie play by Jackie Chan in Hollywood.  It is full of hilarious moments and some of the scene is very touching audience’s heart especially at the end of last scene.

Overall, I give 4.5/5 to this movie.

What i like:

– Very good play by Jackie Chan, similar to his typical action movie.

– Funny and full of hilarious stuffs.

– Excellent viewing for family…especially for Kids.

What i dislike:

– Actually, there is not any dissatisfaction from me..:)

This is the movie that you SHOULD watch after Avatar.  Highly Recomentation from me. 🙂

WALAO…give this movie so high mark, but gave “Paranormal Activity” so low mark.

But you are right, if compare to that “Para-Para” movie, Jackie Chan at least provided some actions from the start until the end.

But the Jackie Chan in this movie is not longer the one that I knew. Somehow, he look older & darker. He really need to get some “Botox” and something need to be done to his big stomach.

But overall, this movie can rated “GOOD”.

Same ending: “MARTIN LOH ROCKS!!! YEAH!!!”

Typical Jackie Chan Style Hollywood Movie.

I do think Jackie really need to work on his english. I wouldn’t comment the same thing on his other series of Jackie Chan’s movie. The character he’s playing this time involve lotta talking, and if people can’t make out what he said and his action scene really is not as good as before, lotta duplication from ex-movie but with a clumsier move this time, really everything will just bring down his image as an International Action Movie Star. Nevertheless, this movie is still good for watching over the weekend.
I think the movie deserve a rating of 5/10.
