Shrek Forever After Review

Shrek is back, this time with a new adventures that will blow you away. This funny “fairy tale” continue its funny way of making fun of ”fairy tale” world bring a new story.

Here some summary of this movie:

Shrek is feeling over-domesticated in the fourth installment. He has lost his roar. It used to send villagers running away in terror. Now they run to him and ask him to sign their pitchforks and torches. To regain his ogre mojo, he strikes a deal with Rumpelstiltskin. The pact goes awry and Shrek must confront what life would be like in Far Far Away if he had never existed. That translates into Donkey being forced into cart-pulling duty, fat and lazy Puss in Boots trading his sword for a pink bow and the underhanded Rumpelstiltskin ruling the kingdom.

What i like this movie:

–> Funny,humor,joy and prefect storyline. Dreamwork done it again for great animation.

–> Family value – bring you some message regarding the family value in life. This animation seem like “teach” us about family value.

What i dislike this movie:

–> No 3D version in my local cinema.

–> The movie quit short – maybe 1 hour and half.

My rating for Shrek Forever After = 8.5/10

Should You Watch Ironman 2?

Tony Stark is back to cinema again with Ironman 2 The Movie. Like its first movie, Ironman 2 give me some surprise of its latest technology in its robot suit and of course new partner – War Machine. My friend (Codename - digi) and i watch this movie during its premiere at local cinema.

Basically, this movie is about:

Tony Stark (Ironman) brazenly shows up both Hammer and a U.S. Senator during a televised hearing. The government doesn’t like the idea of a private citizen possessing such potentially destructive technology and wants in on how to make it. What if their enemies developed such tech?

Tony dismisses their fears, saying that any such advances are at least 20 years away. But what he doesn’t know is that at that moment an old enemy of his family’s is hard at work in Russia on his own version of Stark Industries’ arc technology. Tony must forge new alliances and confront a powerful new enemy.

Why i like this Ironman 2 :

1) Awesome technology which better than previous Ironman movie. There is 3 types of ironman suit include a suit case ironman. Villains also equip with high tech suit which able to match with Ironman.

2) Awesome fighting scene that blow you away – Especially at the last scene when Ironman tag team with War machine to fight with 30 robots.

3) Humor - I love the sense of humor that bring into the movie.

What i dislike :

1) Fighting scene is too short – maybe 10-15 minute and you only can see those big fighting scene at the end of the movie. The villains is too easy to be defeat by ironman and war machine.

2) Quit boring at some scene – Especially Tony start to torture himself and be like a loser. (i wonder why the director put all those loser thing in ironman, he should focus on create some interesting storyline like The Lord of The Ring Trilogy)

3) Not Make Sense – The villain hits by a Rolls Royce which weight a tonne but still can walk and fight?! He didn’t wear any protective suit but still can survive. The Rolls Royce crash he on the wall. He should be dead.

Overall, this movie is rate at 7.5 /10 stars.

All above just my two cents and my own opinion.

How to Train Your Dragon Review.

Adventure + Family + Action + A lot of Humors = How To Train Your Dragon, that what can i said to Dreamwork SKG’s new animation.

Here the animation summary:

This action comedy tells the story of Hiccup, a Viking teenager who doesn’t exactly fit in with his tribe’s longstanding tradition of heroic dragon slayers. Hiccup’s world is turned upside down when he encounters a dragon that challenges he and his fellow Vikings to see the world from an entirely different point of view.

Overall, this animation is 9/10.

What i like this movie:

1) Storyline – Dreamwork SKG Animation which brought you “Shrek,” “Madagascar” and “Kung Fu Panda” done very good job in storyline. I love all animation that created by Dreamwork because each animation has each own unique story and will blow your away.

2) Humors - A lot of humors that will make you laugh from the beginner until end. A kid (6-8 year old) which sits besides me laugh all night.

3) Action - A lot of flying and fighting action especially at the end. Fighting with very big bad dragon.

4) Moral Value – Father love son. People love animal (Dragon).

What i dislike this movie:

1) There is actually got 3D version but my local cinema don’t has 3D version.

This is actually very good animation, not for children only but adult like us will also enjoy it very much.

Legion Movie Review

I watched the motion movie - Legion today with same group of my friends (whose watched Paranormal Activity movie, 3 of them actually not finished the Paranormal movie. ).

Legion

Basically, this movie is about:

When GOD grows tired of humans and their disobedience, he sends the Archangel Michael (Paul Bettany) to wipe them off the face of the earth. More specifically he needs to kill the one child that can stop God’s wrath and save mankind. The only problem is that child hasn’t been born yet, and the mother is a waitress at a small diner in the middle of the Mojave Desert. Michael defies God’s Will and decides to save the child, which turns the restaurant into a war zone between heaven and earth. He will have to combat an entire legion of angels led by the heavily favored, Gabriel (Kevin Durand).

Overall, I give this movie 6/10,

What i like this movie:

- Actions: Plenty of actions and violence. This time, Angels play with guns and bombs. More like another type of Died Hard. There is some value of entertainment within action scene.

What i dislike this movie:

- No filter: This is actually the first movie which i watched that without filter – you can hear a lot of “What the F**K” and etc.

- The Bad: Angels should be good but in this movie, angels more like demons, killing everyone include children. (What wrong with the director?)

- Defies Logic: The pregnant woman can running around just after delivering a baby. (Can your mom/wife do that after delivered a baby?) Another thing – Angels should killed the woman easily because they got wings and can fly. Why they need to use human body to chase and kill the woman.

The Spy Next Door Review by Me…!!

Action + Family + Funny = The Spy next Door, that what can i said to Jackie Chan’s new action movie. I watched this movie with my 2 best friend in local cinema.

The Spy Next Door

This movie is about:

Chan is in full-on clown mode as Chinese Intelligence agent Bob Ho, a spy next door to Amber Valleta’s Gillian, who he’s also dating, and her three children, teen Farren (Madeline Carroll), precocious Ian (Will Shadley), and toddler Nora (Alina Foley). As the film opens, Ho is retiring from the spy biz and wants to take his relationship with Gillian to the next level by coming clean to her about his secret double-life. Gillian isn’t even ready to listen to Bob until her, frankly, hateful children warm up to him. At this point we got a convenient plot contrivance that sends Gilian out of town to her ailing father’s side, allowing Bob to watch the children for an extended period of time with the hope that they’ll all bond as a family.

Personally, i think this is maybe the best ever movie play by Jackie Chan in Hollywood. It is full of hilarious moments and some of the scene is very touching audience’s heart especially at the end of last scene.

Overall, I give 4.5/5 to this movie.

What i like:

- Very good play by Jackie Chan, similar to his typical action movie.

- Funny and full of hilarious stuffs.

- Excellent viewing for family…especially for Kids.

What i dislike:

- Actually, there is not any dissatisfaction from me..:)

This is the movie that you SHOULD watch after Avatar. Highly Recomentation from me.

Scariest Movie – Paranormal Activity Movie

Total of 8 persons include me went watched the Paranormal Activity movie yesterday, we bought our movie ticker easily due to lack of peoples come to watch this movie, maybe lack of promotion at television or media, I guess.

This movie is about a young, middle class couple moves into what seems like a typical suburban “starter” tract house, they become increasingly disturbed by a presence that may or may not be demonic, but is certainly most active in the middle of the night. Especially when they sleep.

I was seriously giddy and almost vomited as I sat down to watch Paranormal Activity. I quite dislike the way that they shot the movie. It is more like a documentary than a typical movie. Entire movie shot by using normal video camcorder. Watching this movie just like playing “Counter Strike“ to me.

Overall, this is 1 hour and a half movie. It is quite boring at the beginning of the movie. Some of peoples include three of my friends walked out the cinema due to boring and giddy. Well, if you are the first time to watch this kind of movie, I am sure that you are not going like it – especially if you are comfortable with typical movie.

All the exciting and scariest scene appeared almost at the end of the movie. The ending … can’t tell you.

Paranormal activity movie

What i like this movie:

- Scariest movie (perhaps) in 2009.

- Some scary scene never occurred in other scary movie. This film will satisfy your horror appetite.

What i dislike:

- There is not special nor sound effect like AVATAR. (what can you expect for a low budget movie)

- This movie is shot by using video camcorder that made you feel like this movie made by an amateur director (perhaps by secondary school’s students).

- Quite giddy (almost vomit) watching this movie from view of the camera.

My two cents:

If you are the kind of people that looking for scary stuffs. Then this is the movie that you are waiting for. BUT please don’t expect too much.
