If you read my last post on remove all facebook ads, you will notice all the Facebook ads “disappear” and create a empty space on your Facebook side bar.

Well, you can adjust your facebook content width and make your Facebook page look better at larger sizes.

Steps to Adjust the Width.

If you are Firefox user then you can download a script and it automatic adjust and make your facebook page look as above.

First, you will need to install Greasemonkey scripts.

What is Greasemonkey?

Greasemonkey is a Mozilla Firefox extension that allows users to install scripts that make on-the-fly changes to HTML web page content on the DOMContentLoaded event, which happens immediately after it is loaded in the browser (also known as augmented browsing).

In other word, install greasemonkey scripts can allows you to customize the way a webpage displays using small bits of JavaScript.

Goto this link and click ”download now” button for greasemonkey script installation. An pop-up will occur and just click “install”. After success install the greasemonkey scripts, re-start your firefox browser.

Install the adjusting width scripts.

Goto this website and you will see a green section that mention “install as a user script”.

Click the button and install the script.

Done. You already success to adjust your facebook page width.

How to Disable/Remove Facebook Ads

Facebook already become one of the world most famour social platform nowadays and everybody (almost everyone) has a facebook account.

If you notice Facebook sidebar, you can see facebook ads all over your facebook page. Although, Facebook is a wonderful social platform to keeping up with your friends and family but the unnecessary third party (Facebook ads) sometimes annoys a lot.

How to disable/remove facebook ads using Mozilla Firefox.

If you are Mozilla Firefox user then you can use some add-on to remove/disable or hide annoying ads in your facebook page.

You can download Firefox through this link. (Mozilla Firefox is a free and open source web browser descended from the Mozilla Application Suite and managed by Mozilla Corporation.)

Steps:

1) Goto “all remove facebook ads” Firefox add-on on this links.

2) Click “Add to Firefox”.

3) An pop-up will occur for software installation, click “Install Now“.

4) After add-on installed, restart your Firefox browser.

5) Done.

If you success installed the add-on, Facebook ads should be “disappear” from your Facebook page.

How to Block Facebook Applications Forever!

It is very annoying to receive invitation from Facebook’s friend to install some Facebook applications that you are not interesting. Thanks God, there is a way to permanently block all those annoying Facebook apps.

How to do it?

1) Select Privacy Setting.

2) Click “Edit your settings” under the Applications and Websites section.

3) Turn off all the platform applications.

If you still blur with above step, then watch below video for more detail.

Please Take Note:

When you “turn off” the Facebook Applications platform, it will also “turn off” other function like the social plugins that help you share or “like” stories on other websites.

This is very interesting. PTPTN (Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi) Malaysia which provides education loan to malaysian students has given some kind of loan formula for repayment schedule.

Anyone understands the formula? Let me know in below comment.

I took this formula from PTPTN website and i admit that it would take you some time to calculate it. (If you has no problem in your additional math then should be no problem to calculate it. )

How to Create Horizontal Tabs Menu in Blogger – Part 2

Few day ago, I received some comments from my reader regarding my last post on How to Create Horizontal Tabs Menu in Blogger. They use my method to create the horizontal tab but at the end, they created a bulleted list of links. So I decide to log in my blogger account and take a look for this issue.

After testing on several of blogger template, the original code create vertical tab instead of horizontal tab.

Therefore, I check the code again and what I found was the CSS code was missing after change the template. As you can see as above picture. Seem like this is Blogger’s problem and I have not idea why the CSS code is missing every time I change a new template. Without the CSS code, there will be no horizontal tab.

How do we create the horizontal tab? Basically, we need 2 different code i.e. widget Code and CSS code. The widget code create a list of links and CSS code change the style of the links into horizontal tab.

Therefore, without the CSS code, your links will be vertical tab as default.

The Solution:

I copy all the Missing CSS code (as below) again and then paste into the template HTML Code (you need to expand widget templates to see the whole template HTML code) before ” ]]>”.

CSS Code: change the links into horizontal tab

After I added the missing CSS code, I create the horizontal tab at my template.

How To Apply A Google Adsense Account

Before you apply google adsense, you need to know a bit of google adsense. I wrote a post regarding google adsense, you can read it if you has not idea what is google adsense.

Step 1:

First, you need a blog or website in order to apply google adsense, because google employees will review your blog/website. You can use a free hosting blog like blogger or wordpress. I recommend that you use blogger because google owns blogger.

Step 2:

Start to create some blog posts. It is better to create at least 8-10 posts which talk about any topic or things that you like. If you don’t know any about blogging, blogger, how to apply blogger account etc. You can read my previous blog post which about how to start blogging with blogger post.

Step 3:

Goto google.com and click on Advertising Programs (locate below the search engine tool). After this, you will be taken to this page as below. Click on Get Started with Adsense.

Step4:

Fill up all the information like website URL(your blog address), payee name, email address, mailing address and etc. (Please take note that information that you fill in MUST be correct as the cheque that sent to you is according to the information that you given to google).

Step 5:

Wait for few hours to 2 weeks for the approval. Be patient as google employees need time to review and approve your application. Your application status will be noticed through your email address. If your status is approved then congratulation to you and welcome to the world of make money online.

If you be rejected by google, you need to understand what is the main reason for rejection. Try to overcome the problems and then re-apply again.

My two cents:

I also used blogger blog to apply google adsense. I had be rejected by google, the reason was my blog only got 4 blog posts. So I wrote another 4 new blog posts then re-apply again. After 3 weeks, my application was approved.
